Tamarkoz is also taught at the University of California, Berkeley in the United States as a course through the Decal program. Since it is the art of self-knowledge and everyone can practice and benefit from Tamarkoz, there is great diversity in the students enrolled. There are students from various demographics, cultures, fields of study, and religious backgrounds, so this has been a very popular course.

In fact, the class is consistently enrolled to maximum capacity every term and has a large waitlist. If you’d like to attend, make sure to enroll early.

Tamarkoz is taught as a stress management course at the University of California, Davis in the United States. This class is offered as a 1-credit course for both undergraduate and graduate students.

Student Survival Kit

This new graduate/undergraduate seminar is an introductory experiential class in stress management centered around meditation techniques covering topics such as (1) the foundation and working knowledge of basic theories of meditation; (2) the ability to practice deep breathing and perform energy exercises; (3) a working knowledge of stress reduction techniques; (4) practical methods to foster curiosity and creativity; (5) a safe environment, in which students feel free to examine habits and promote positive change. Becoming an Extraordinary Human

No one wants to be ordinary. This course focuses on the personal development of the characteristics of human beings deemed extraordinary. Outcomes include enhanced concentration for higher-level cognition, increased capacity to handle stress, development of increased self-confidence, increased mastery of emotional and mental processes, development of physical awareness and control, and development of positive personal characteristics. University of Southern California

Starting January 26, 2021, and every Tuesday afterward, the University of Southern California’s Office of Religious Life will be offering Tamarkoz classes on Zoom for the entire Spring semester. The classes will be offered under “Spiritual Practices” subsection of the Office of Religious Life for free to all USC students, faculty, and staff. The classes have also been shared with the students of the Ostrow School of Dentistry. 

California State University, Northridge

Monthly Tamarkoz classes are being virtually offered at California State University Northridge (CSUN) Oasis Wellness Center, available for CSUN students, faculty and staff.

Los Angeles

Every 3rd Saturday two classes: 1st class from 9-10:45 am and the 2nd class from 11-1pm in Reseda, CA

Tamarkoz classes are taught at the MTO Shahmaghsoudi, School of Islamic Sufism every 3rd Saturday. Space is limited so please register ahead of time.
